The Maryann Apostolou Memorial Scholarship

Presented by the Sea Girt 5K The Maryann Apostolou Memorial Scholarship is available to any High School Senior who graduated from Sea Girt Elementary School and attended at least 4 years, or is currently a full-time resident of Sea Girt. Student must be planning to attend a 4-year College or University.

To apply, please submit a letter to the Sea Girt 5K Committee along with the following:

• A one-page essay illustrating your kindness and compassion to others. These qualities were epitomized by Mrs. Apostolou.
• List your charitable community service as well as extracurriculars
• One recommendation letter from a high school teacher, guidance counselor or coach.
• Proof of a B average or better
• Where you will be attending college and a copy of the acceptance letter
• High school you are graduating from
• Home address and email address

All applications must be received by May 30, 2025. Please mail all applications to The Sea Girt 5K, PO Box 393, Sea Girt, NJ 08750. All applicant information will be kept confidential. If your submission is missing any of the required information, you will not be considered by the Committee. The winner will be announced by June 30th.

A formal presentation to the winner will take place on August 2nd at the Sea Girt 5K at 8:00 AM. We hope the winner will attend to accept this honor.
